FAQs

Answers to the questions clients ask most.

Where exactly is the salon?
1 Allotment Road, Cadishead, Manchester M44 5JH — a private home salon, about 25 minutes from Manchester city centre.
What are your opening times?
Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 8:00pm, and Saturday, 8:30am – 12:30pm. Closed on Sundays.
How long will my appointment take?
It depends on the service — blonde and colour transformations usually take 2 to 5 hours, extensions range from 1 to 3 hours, and a cut and blow-dry takes around 1 to 1.5 hours.
Is there parking?
Yes, there's plenty of space to park on the road right outside, so no need to worry about finding somewhere to leave the car.
Do you take walk-ins?
The studio is appointment only, so it's best to book ahead of time to make sure there's a slot for you. You can pick a time that suits you on Fresha whenever you're ready — book here.
What if I need a patch test?
Book in a consultation appointment at least 48 hours before your colour appointment, and the patch test can be done then.
What's the difference between balayage and highlights?
Highlights are foiled for a consistent, all-over result and need topping up every 6 to 8 weeks. Balayage is hand-painted for a softer, more graduated look with a lower-maintenance grow-out. See the blonding transformation page for more detail.
How often does balayage need maintaining?
Balayage grows out more softly than highlights, so most clients come back every 10 to 16 weeks, with a half head of maintenance highlights in between if needed.
Do I need a consultation before hair extensions?
Yes — every extension fitting starts with a consultation so we can assess your hair's condition and agree the right colour match and method before booking your fitting.
How do I know which hair extension method is suitable?
It depends on your hair type and how much maintenance you want — nano bonds suit finer hair and sit virtually undetectable, while tapes are quicker to fit and work well for thicker hair. We'll talk through both at your consultation; see the hair extension transformation page for more on each.
